Years ago I attended a service w/ a Catholic priest who had Catholics apologize to non-Catholics for historical wrongs committed by the Church. I found it very moving & have been proud to do something similar regarding blacks & Native Americans in America. Nothing silly about it.

Bad Idea - The Catholics or the faith not to blame or but the individuals that ran the Church.

Except there is, because the people of today had nothing to do with what happened in the past. I’m constantly surprised at anyone claiming to be “spiritual” gets involved in politics #ego

When you tell people to apologize to people for something they’re not even responsible for doing it’s called fake contrition. It’s not a nice idea.

How about Dems apologize for Libya and the now ongoing slave trade happening in real time!

There is nothing “silly” about reconciliation, apologies, forgiveness and connection. At all.

Maybe you should consider having Jews apologize what they have done and are still doing to the Palestinians? In fact, maybe you should come out and do it first?
