Yes and the stoppage of that war led to the deaths of 3 million Cambodians by Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge.
Heard this once: “Ms. Williamson, you’re an aging hippie. Your generation was just sex, drugs and rock n roll.” My response: “Uh, that was just PART of the day. The rest of the day we stopped a war!!! ...Et tu?”

I gave this some thought -- our generation wasn't simple, it wasn't just hippies (of which I was one), and we contributed great things, that are being squandered by new generations. We all have to work together to solve our problems. That's real answer.

Hippies had it right. Unfortunately most of them lost their way. Thank God, some people like @marwilliamson have captured some of their ideals and are moving us forward to a new age.
