I visited Homestead detention center 2 weeks ago. We’re spending $775 a day warehousing children when there are nonprofit groups, family members etc. willing to take them. Impressed by protesters at the capitol there now to express mercy, willing to be arrested, standing for love

LOVE would be for parents and others to NOT traffic and exploit children by bringing them across the border illegally. Whoever is encouraging them to come and illegally cross our border is to blame, along with those in congress who do not fix our immigration problems. #Trump2020

I believe thats what their parents count on when they sent them out alone as sheep amongst wolves to trek across dangerous terrain. The others are free to leave with their children to go back to their country at any time. We have immigration laws, the process must be followed.

I think it's a good, maybe risky alternative which could involve even more background checking of those families who are willing to take them in. You'd have to check them too right? Anyway, how does this solve the problem of separating children?

If that price were paid to ME to help house them, I’d go buy another 4 bedroom house. House 8 of them and clear 186k for the month. Hell I’d even stock food and TP for that....
