This should be retweeted again and again. This is how we heal. That’s the first act we must do. It’s the act of love. We apologize for our mistakes, for our parents mistakes.

Not one white person I know has ever apologized to any black people I know for their ancestors, grandmas or parents place in history when it comes to black people and the history of hate from white people and I am from Mississippi...the Atonement will come.

Wait, once my jr high friend apologized that I could not come to her house because her father was racist and she was scared because he had guns...does that count. I think it does. Her father died a racist but his daughter won’t we can break the cycle if we are open.
