"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." - MLKJr. A meaningful thing all of us can do today is ask ourselves, "What can I do today to add to the cry of national outrage at the inhumane way that immigrants are being treated?" Silence=complicity.

Hmm, illegal immigrants have been treated the same for decades btw, how about caring for our own first? ”what can you do today to ease the lives of our homeless in LA & other parts, & those jailed for petty crimes and the families, the children they left behind”?

I do say that and I say it often. The point is to realize that the same people who would withhold resources from immigrants etc. also withhold resources from the homeless etc.

I do not agree with using Martin Luther King Jr.'s words to advocate for illegal immigrants when #ADOS has never been paid Direct Cash Reparations and we built America. And MLK Jr. did not like the fact that new immigrants got benefits that Black Americans were denied.

Disingenuous. You know this isn’t about legal immigration

We need to march like MLK did. If all MLK did was tweeting, he would have accomplished nothing. Let's march.
