"There’s not one U.S. city or county where someone working a 40-hr wk on min wage of $7.25 can afford to rent a modest 2-bed apartment. Minimum wage workers need to work 3 full time jobs to make modest 2-bed rental home affordable." - National Low Income Housing Coalition Report

I'm so grateful that you speak on the issues that are being ignored.

Gee maybe don't move out on your own till you have a real job and not one meant for teenagers? And don't have kids so you won't need a 2 bedroom. If you're in a stable relationship get a roommate and there's your 3 way split.

Or maybe we stop inflating away the purchasing power of people's money and siphoning the proceeds to a legalized monopoly banking cartel. #EndTheFed

The average rent for a 2 bedroom in San Diego is $2446. Take home on $15/hr is about $1716. Not doable for a single parent at all to live and raise children. Not doable for a 2 income couple at $15/hour. We need living wages and UBI.

Agree, so let’s call our leadership and demand some change! I know my campaign is in support of living wages and I am asking everyone to support my campaign because I’m about getting it done and not just saying it to get elected. I am serious about doing it! #JimmyAusbrooks
