When I was a child, we saw pictures of military parades in the Soviet Union. We were told we don’t do that, that we’re proud of the fact that we don’t do that because we don’t wish to be a militarized society. Celebrating July 4 with army tanks on the National Mall is repugnant.

Guess you never attended a 4th parade on a military base as a brat. Trump is bringing patriotism to the citizens. Nothing more. Sometimes it’s just a parade. How many young ppl look at it and say I want to serve? I see inspiration.

Well said, thanks for bringing that vision back. I remember full well in the far distance how scared seeing that made me feel, and how happy I was to have picnics, carnivals and fireworks instead. We must always keep OUR Amazing American traditions ours! It’s OUR culture.

It's only repugnant if you're not a demagogic wannabe dictator.

That’s not the only repugnant thing that’s going to be there.

The annual parade in red square is their version of Veterans day. It is a sober event to pay tribute to all those that died defending Russia from the Nazi's. To this day you will see the elderly crying in the streets as they remember the fallen. Unlike us they remember the horror

No, we just have parades of naked gay men traipsing down the street in front of children. BRING ON THE TANKS!
