When I was a child, we saw pictures of military parades in the Soviet Union. We were told we don’t do that, that we’re proud of the fact that we don’t do that because we don’t wish to be a militarized society. Celebrating July 4 with army tanks on the National Mall is repugnant.

True, it's all part of the GOP subliminally programming the masses to accept dropping bombs on Iran in a few weeks. Wake up, sheeple!

The wise inform us that self-indulgent military parades is a sign of arrogance and over-confidence, and is therefore repugnant. The weak and mentally inferior simply see it as another parade. As in, "Yay!! A parade!! Can I have a balloon?"

We have a 4th of July parade in RI that includes every branch of the military and celebrates our nation. However, it is not militarized like Trump is doing. Really sick he took over that celebration.
