When I was a child, we saw pictures of military parades in the Soviet Union. We were told we don’t do that, that we’re proud of the fact that we don’t do that because we don’t wish to be a militarized society. Celebrating July 4 with army tanks on the National Mall is repugnant.

Then don't attend.....you're still free to celebrate The 4th of July anyway you want. Nobody will be offended.

you wouldn't have any tanks that are not obsolete in the US to participate in a parade because they are all based overseas ; troops too and it would be too risky to fly the F35 overhead in case it fell out of the sky 😂😂

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I quite agree with you.

Never mind we only won our independence thanks to our military. And never mind that even a Democrat-controlled city like Chicago has an Air & Water Show every summer where military hardware is the big draw. It's a shame leftist loons can't put their hate aside for even one day.

Idiot... You are a member of the greatest abusive military power on earth and your country is YOU. You are a police state in all but name. The world looks down on you.
This is why you’re losing. Even left wing progressives like me think that’s absolutely ridiculous!

When I was a child we revered our veterans and military. I'm so glad we have a President who intends to give them the respect they deserve.

You could be speaking German now- except for a whole lot of militarized young American men.
