When I was a child, we saw pictures of military parades in the Soviet Union. We were told we don’t do that, that we’re proud of the fact that we don’t do that because we don’t wish to be a militarized society. Celebrating July 4 with army tanks on the National Mall is repugnant.

This celebration will not include the type of parades you are referring to. "A U.S. defense official said that the current plan is to have a very small number of armored vehicles participate as part of a "static display" at the event on the National Mall."
Let’s tweet about a DC parade and meanwhile, tweet nothing about Antifa.

Somebody misled you as a Child... As a young Military man I was tasked to many a parade. 1984. We carried M1 rifles people stood and clapped... didn't notice any fear. Tanks great idea for recruiting too. How bout a Flyover?

I’m older than you, and your memory is whacked. Love our military! ❤️ Good luck in the debates.
