Of course: people flying by seat of their pants, not getting preventive medical care because of expense, gambling that they won't get sick. So they get treated when they're sick which is more expensive. Medicare for all should solve this.

It’s not even that, it’s a death avoidance system. Americans can only afford to go to the doctor if they are on their deathbeds or medical emergency , because we cannot afford to go if we are just sick.
