We’re perpetrating a huge human rights abuse against children at the border. This is our country; we cannot farm out our conscience on this or on any other issue. Look at it, feel it, then call your representatives to demand action to stop this horror. google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes…

I'm amazed that the French press does not say a word abt it. We'd be so quick to require international interventions if it was in any country outside the US or Europe. When I think of how much influence the US have on the world, I'm worried abt the turn they're taking in general.

Gosh Marianne, remember when you believed I'm self-reliance and not socialism? I'm so disappointed in you.

It's not an American problem, it's a world problem. Yes these detention centers exist and are horrific, we must find a solution. But not just a bandaid...I don't want to just fix this so we can feel superior, I want to fix the issue so we can be proud and safe, everywhere.

It won’t do any good, my Rep is GOP and she is doing everything she can. We need to convince those democrats to stop voting no, they have done it 17 times!

Your right. This is our country, not theirs. Where is your concern for citizens living in the streets eating out of dumpsters?

Do Americans know what a conscience is?
