This Juneteenth, let’s remember yes, we ended slavery. Yes, we passed Civil Rights legislation and yes, we passed the Voting Rights Act. But we have not yet fully done all that it is morally incumbent upon us to do in order to heal this ugly wound. #Juneteenth #Marianne2020

You spelled "Republicans" wrong. Republicans ended slavery. Republicans passed civil rights legislation. Republicans passed the Voting Rights Act.

Who gets them? Who pays for them? How much will it cost? Who will administer the program? Why don't you include affirmative action, racial set-asides, race based quotas, etc., among the things that you don't consider to be enough? Stop perpetuating victimhood.

Oh please. So many recent immigrants have come here with less and have done far better. Look at inner cities to see what dependency on handouts has done. What happens after the reparations are spent? Better to provide incentives to businesses to locate in these places.

Wrong. Slavery still exists. Read the Exception to the 13th Amendment.

Your statement is as mild as possible to say: white Christian conservative supremacists have waged war against black Americans since 1868 & the 14th-A, when former black people who learned of their freedom on June 19, 1865 still remain oppressed today.
Most Americans have never been taught anything about the "Negro American Revolution." This explains why educators, media, clergy, pundits and politicos struggle to understand today's socioeconomic and political battlegrounds. Just 53 years ago, the govt spelled it out. 1/13

When you say “we”, you mean Republicans. Democrats resisted all those rights of blacks, and were the party of the KKK and Jim Crow. Republicans died to free them! Now you want them to pay a fine for Democrat hate crimes? So you take credit for healing slavery? Bullshittery!

Almost. Slavery NEVER ENDED, it evolved. Black Americans #ADOS are re-enslaved w/ every generation. We have also never been granted full American citizenship which negates any prior civil rights legislation. Your heart appears to be in the right place, but ur message needs work.
