Who pays for the reparations? I’ve heard take $$ from the military. But that’s taxpayer money. My ancestors were busy being murdered and expelled from their homes in the Middle East at the time. Why should I pay? I’d rather create equal opportunity for everyone.

Would you then agree that us Jews should seek reparations from the Egyptians? Sounds ridiculous doesn’t it? What people are owed is an equal opportunity. That’s what needs to be worked on. That’s what will improve lives for generations. Not a few bucks that won’t last past tommrw

So, how will you determine who descendent of slaves vs those of slave owners??? What about immigrants to our country after 1865... exempt from paying or receiving I assume? Do biracial folks just pay themselves? Have you really thought out this ridiculous proposition?

If you are suggesting that people who never owned slaves are obligated to pay "reparations" to people who never were slaves, you are going to lose a lot of support.
