I propose reparations as opposed to simply “race-based policies” because they carry with them an inherent mea culpa. They are an inherent acknowledgment of a wrong that has been done, of a debt that is owed, and a willingness to pay it.

This country can’t have the future that we want unless we’re willing to clean up the past.

Yes, all the families if those white men in the Union Army that died to free the slaves deserve reparations! We agree with something.

Talking reparations for slavery without including and prioritizing Native americans is disgustingly hypocritical to me.

Different topic but, although I’ve been a fan of your for years, we have to part ways, as you apparently believe that parents should not have to immunize their children. This is a public health issue. Please rethink this - or not - but that’s it for me.

Whilst I agree in theory, respect you highly, how exactly do you plan on doing this? If we were speaking financially, the task would be impossible; or so very watered down that each African American would get mere cents. I'd be for changing how we treat humans, moving foward.

Fine. Then let's make reparations voluntary. After all only individuals acting without force can make meaningful mea culpas. I'll start. My contribution is zero since my guilt is zero. How much do you feel guilty?

Japanese internment victims got it, Jewish to some degree got them. Native American also. Our ancestors were promised 40 acres. Instead we got Jim Crow. And Trump's base we start it all over again if possible.

MW you are the candidate that America - the world - has been waiting for. I 💯support reparations and stand with you. A Williamson Presidency will help uplift all people - our planet. Thank you for taking this task on. You are doing beautifully! 🙏👏💞#Marianne2020
