As the 21st-century unfolds, it’s time to completely debunk economic theories left over from the 19th & 20th. Value does not derive from labor; it derives from self-actualization. Everything we do to help people express themselves at a higher level puts value into the economy.

Surely, value is also derived from labor. Both the value of doing the work, and what that work provides. @marwilliamson

Undoubtedly. But a happier, more fulfilled person labors at a higher level. Right now, our system keeps people only as fulfilled as necessary to keep them producing cheap labor.

I said "also" on my response to this. Undoubtedly self-realization produces value as does labor. Do not throw out Marx & Engels others philosophers from earlier epochs. Many address issues still pertinent today. @mariannewilliamson @AngieZawada

You folks did not read my reply carefully. I wish you would do so. Very aggravating. Right I am 4 a non-violent Revolution. I believe corporate Capitalism must go. You probably blieve the same.
So, basically, you’re saying that the only thing that you understand about economics is how to spell the word.
I get what this is trying to say, but it's not an either or scenario in my opinion. There are people who work hard because they're unfulfilled and trying to fix that hole in them
