In Los Angeles, I founded @ProjAngelFood, a meals-on-wheels program for homebound people living with HIV that today has served over 11 million meals. This month, Project Angel Food will celebrate its 30th Anniversary.

I remember hearing the story of Ryan White at an assembly in elementary school. There was nothing more terrifying than the AIDS crisis in the late 1980's. Your work brought hope and love to those affected in a transformational way. Congratulations to @ProjAngelFood!! #30years

Bless you all for stepping up, spreading love & real humanitarian solutions then & now. I was a RN in the 80's & remember so clearly the fear & uncertainty in the hospitals - some so afraid they didn't want to care for people with HIV/AIDS. I just put on protection and served.
