The same psychological principles that prevail in the life of an individual prevail within the journey of a nation: You can’t have an abundant future unless you’re willing to clean up the past. That’s why we should pay reparations for slavery. marianne2020.com/issues/raci…

I appreciate that you’re recognizing the need for reparations and reconciliation. However, I’d highly reconsider your distribution plan (other than having “council of leaders” making decisions for how All of what Americans of African Descent are owed is used.🤔Other fair options?

The money is to be used for “projects of economic and educational renewal.” Beyond that stipulation, white America should not have a say in how the money is disbursed. If you owe people money, you don’t get to tell them how to spend it.

Exactly. Im not say”we”say how its dispersed..at the same time how is it fair if a counsel of a handful of individuals make the decisions for the entire population of Americans of African Descent? Y not have The People propose how it’s done & give them All a vote on how its done?

My concern, with due regard, is that by putting a counsel in charge of how the money is allocated, even with good intentions, it may not reach every deserving individual in an equitable manner. I might open the floor to consider Am/African Descendant’s voices in those decisions
