Really rich when candidates talk about impeachment as though “This is about doing the right thing and politics should have nothing to do with it!” You do realize their even saying that has everything to do with politics, right?

Unfortunately politics in the past few decades has never been about "doing the right thing"...Dems & Rep alike ....It's the political culture itself that has created the space to do whatever is politically self serving with no consequences and no regard to "what's right".
The people know that there is a grifter in the White House. His lack of intelligence and ethics speak volumes to the global nation. Impeachment in this particular case IS a matter of law and IS for the people.

Reminds me of when people say they're "Apolitical". Don't people realize that IS a political stance? It's tacit support for the cruelty of the status quo including our prisons, never-ending war, and the barbarism against immigrants.

The word "politics" has turned into an ambiguous term. It's too often associated with negative connotations. Politics is the science of government; the execution of our constitution. Unfortunately that execution is increasingly putrid yet becoming normalized and accepted.

When a MAGAT politician moans “It’s political,” he gives away his own ignorance. The Framers made as clear as they were able that impeachment IS a political process, not criminal, not civil, but purely political. Too many politicians know far too little about the Constitution.

Nope. “Their” is the correct usage there.
