Righteous commerce & wealth creation are good but aristocracy isn’t. Aristocracy when govt policy makes it easier for the very rich to get richer & harder for anyone else to even survive. That trend has been going on for 40 yrs and it needs to stop. Put 2% tax on $50M, 3% on $1B.

Doesn't work...you are confusing wealth with income. Gates, Buffet, et. al. have the value of their assets grow. Until liquidated it isn't income. They are illiquid. Is a house worth the $400k for prop tax, $700k for insurance, $500k in a quick sale, or $600k in a year?

No I'm not confusing wealth with income.

40% of American people are struggling to make ends meet. In the richest country in the world- Is it reasonable to ask the 40% to make a choice- Do I pay my mortgage or health insurance this month? Under a Williamson Campaign “This shall not go unanswered.” Marianne2020.com

Yes. And honestly anyone who has just 1 million in the bank is considered wealthy by the 40% who struggle. So while some ask “how will we pay for universal healthcare”, the answer is “are you freakin’ kidding?”

US used to have maximum wage w/ 91% tax on income over $200k. Forced rich to pay workers, reinvest in business & tech, fund charities, or just go on vacation & let someone else earn. 1950's: best schools in world, 1 job supported fam of 4, highways/bridges/etc, & free healthcare.

Interestingly, the things stopping us from making sure that the poor don't freeze, starve, drown, suffer or die are independent of whether or not we can source the revenue. Why make the relief of suffering conditional to hijacking yachts in the north atlantic ripe with Picassos?

20% tax over 50M would be more appropriate..

Much worse now with Trump in office. He gave himself his own tax cut with that bill. Now we are going backwards and our deficit keeps growing. Please take a look at what our deficit is expected to be later, read up on the subject. We’re headed towards a terrible moment in history.
