Given that those older than they have proven ourselves inadequate to the task of protecting their safety & furthering their good, & given that their inalienable rights to life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness are consistently violated, I support lowering the voting age to 16

Fantastic idea!!! Lowering voting age as well as articulating your vision for the Dept of Peace (which needs distinctive mission statement complementing those of Dept of State and UN while counterbalancing, with appreciation, Dept of Defense) can provide huge name recognition!

I am with you in supporting this IF there is proper, accurate, thorough education in the school systems re: our Constitution, Bill of Rights, Ammendments, history of all Americans, etc. The education needs to happen regardless of whether the voting age is lowered to 16 or not.

And critical thinking education/practice needed! Examining issues - root cause analysis, solution proposals, review of candidates positions- cause or symptom focus etc. Let's get Americans back to thinking for themselves instead of following like sheep!

16 is too young. The brain is still very impulsive, easily swayed by peers, not centered in Self. I realize a lot of young people are passionate, moral, intelligent. But 16 is just too young.

I have been with you on even the most controversial of issues. In the end, we want you to be elected, to implement these ideas. Please don’t hurt your chances by going off the rails with 16 year old voting rights. Maybe not wrong, but a alienating concept. Votes matter!
