I strongly oppose the nomination of Patrick Shanahan. A 30yr executive at Boeing aircraft is not who should be heading the Department of Defense; someone whose background lies in corporate defense contracting is exactly who should not be running the show. npr.org/2019/05/09/703454156…

I totally agree. It's as obvious as: - Paris Accords - Iran deal - $1.5T Tax plan - Betsy DeVos - Kavanaugh - Helsinki Fuck this. There is way to much. If there is a worst way possible, Trump will find it. Wasn't this country already fighting uphill before him. I'm exhausted.

I agree with what you say Marianne but who in their right mind would want to accept any position that involved the current regime. Talking about a revolving door White House. Personally I could not stand to be in the Oval Office period.

Shanahan is a great guy: He ran the Missile Defense Systems Division at Boeing, only lately at Boeing Aircraft.

This country has become fundamentally flawed to its core

My only test is if he will get us out of these endless wars.

If you look at the business side of things and how China & Russia are global business partners to many western nations, the need for defense is nowhere near what our government tells us we need. Defense spending is the blatant stealing of our tax dollars to captains of industry.

Wow. This is pretty bad and beyond-stupid. I believe a man or woman, who has served our Country, should be in charge. #PreachMarianne
