This says it all: “I heard a gunshot,” said Makai Dixon, 8, a second grader who had been training for this moment, with active shooter drills and lockdowns, since he was in kindergarten. “I’d never heard it before.” Not one American should find this acceptable. Not one of us.

We should all have heard a gunshot at least once - in our safety course where we learn about gun safety, how they work, gun storage, ect

How do you heal the centuries old trauma/fear ingrained in the culture/belief system of the people? You have history, patriotism, legal doc that has created an identification of what America is. The majority won't give up their guns. Reforms? U need to be prepared for resistence.

Join with the United Nations in recognition of Nicolás Maduro as the legitimate American President of Venezuela, if you will (or haven't already).

Gunshots are a sound no child wants to hear in America or any other Nation. There's not a child alive that wants guns to come in. Not in school in USA or neighborhood in Middle East 😭 Humans arent instinctively drawn to guns, it's a learned addiction rooted in #WhiteManDNA &fear

It's not enough to check who is buying guns or stocking up on ammo when the local police are not informed. A suicidal teen can buy hundreds of rounds of ammo, an AR-15 assault rifle, Glock 19, etc. and neither the police nor his teachers would know.

I Clear energy from children terrified to go to school...no wonder with all that is going on! There is no safe place. We are all victims!

This is sad but active shooter training is a must. Zero tolerance policies are much more scary than active shooter training for the student. #byebyeZTP
