Tens of thousands now die each year of opioid addiction. Whether those deaths were accidental or not, in some way they meant all those people found simply being here too painful to bear. We have to ask ourselves what we have created, as a society, that so many people want out.

Maybe because we’re letting so many in.

Thats not the reason people become opioid dependant - Take away the addiction, most addicts love life ! The addiction itself can lead people to commit suicide and slowly kill themselves.

We must look at Big Pharma & FDA in this. 20+ years of DTC advertising of prescription drugs has only been good for big pharma profits. It hasn't been good for Americans. Suicides & drug overdoses kill Americans at twice the rate of 20 yrs ago, & opioids are a key contributor.

You do not know of what you speak. The #OpioidCrisis was brought on by Big Pharma's corporate greed, as well as unscrupulous greedy doctors. There are people with painful diseases (most I can't pronounce) that cannot be cured but find relief with judicious use of opioids. More >>>

I am concerned that the people who truly need this medication are being thrown under the bus. My wife has chronic pain and needs her meds to just function. She has never abused her meds but they took the meds away. This affects more then just the patient.

Marianne people are scared in their own skin. Many people party because it’s fun and nothing is going on so they indulge and then when the party is over and they are miserable can’t pay bills they want out. And they face issues of depression.

Also, life pushes you in the ground with everyone taking advantage of you and no love from family that many want out. I understand their struggle with the job that I’ve had for 13 years. Meanwhile, people live the so called good life but is it really go for them or anyway.

Only Love Heals-- because it ends separation from our neighbor. Even Trump needs our healing prayers; he might well be a future victim of Opiods after he loses big time 2020. The Bible says "pray for your Enemies" ; your friends don't need it!
