We’re the only major country that bases most of our educational funding on property taxes. Every American school should be a palace of learning and a temple of culture and the arts. America’s gold and America’s greatness lie waiting to be mined in every one of our kindergartens.

I'm a retired public school principal. My wife is a middle school counselor. My daughter is a 4K teacher. Teaching is the noblest if professions. Education is America's strength.

I wish you would have provided an example. I have attached an article on what you may be describing, it’s still seems to be based on some local property taxes, but that money is distributed differently, & allows some local extra infusion. americanprogress.org/issues/…
