It can’t be fixed with cash. It Hass to be fixed with acknowledgment of the wound, and exploration of the dynamic. And add on to that a huge dose of interpersonal strength scattered throughout that culture

Because the Act Prohibiting Importation of Slaves of 1807 and Lincoln freeing the slaves is not acknowledgement of the wound and steps to try and repair it?

Of course it was, and I don’t think that we should in any way minimize that! But if you have kicked someone to the floor you owe them two things: to stop kicking, and also to help them get back up.

I worked in mental health field for a long time and found that it’s difficult for most people to understand the dynamic of victimization. They’re not educated to the fact that most people can’t just get back up. And to assist them is enabling. Most people are tiny.

2/2 or may not have partaken in. I have researched my ancestory thru the census'. No slaves yet from my mom's side. Why, because her ancestors were poor white farmers too. I reme,ber she called her Dad a sharecropper. Yet you expect me to have to pay, um NO, that's WRONG too.
