It is outrageous that every public school in America does not have a well-stocked library. Our schools – and that means all of them, in every neighborhood – should be world class palaces of learning. We must insist on this. thenotebook.org/articles/201…

A well-stocked library is low on the wish list. Heat, treatment for rodent infestation, adequate pay for teachers, etc. There are so many REAL issues that MUST be addressed before we can even consider library books. There are schools that don't even have a library!
And librarians! I was a library aide under a full fledge librarian at a HS in TX and learned so much from her. Then I took that and worked as a library aide in CA alone, bc they couldn’t afford librarians. Those kids are missing out on a wealth of knowledge!

My profession was a teacher librarian. It saddens me that our profession has been devalued in Westen Australia. Knowledge is the key to success. I now am a medical Intuitive and thrive on helping our next generation find inner wisdom Thankyou

If books are there, kids will read! Not all but a lot.

At the very least cast-off kindles and Android reading devices should be utilized so youth can have access to state libraries that do have more books!

It's called the 21st century. The ultra intelligent educators made the policies of removing books and installing computers for kids to learn for the future.
