Automation will cause a tsunami of job destruction in the US over the next 10 to 15 years, not only blue-collar but white collar too. The amount of human devastation this will cause, on top of what is already a society riddled with despair, leads me to support Yang’s UBI proposal

“Human devastation” - a rather extreme term! New tech aims at shifting the dull, dangerous and dirty jobs to machines. So yes, existing jobs are under threat but the door is wide open for us to grab the exciting new jobs. Why is change always perceived as a threat?

Change isn’t a threat, and this could bring great possibilities over the next 100 years. But short term, “human devastation” is not too strong an expression for what this could bring into the lives of many people not in a position to take advantage of those great possibilities.

Yes, we need @AndrewYangVFA’s idea of the #FreedomDividend to help get Americans financially stable for the coming ‘one-two-punch’ of 1) automation AND 2) #ClimateBreakdown yang2020.com

I’m glad your addressing this because people need to hear now as we progress with AI, automation, technologies, that corporations beit drug, food, or other will first make multi billions while the middle class and poor enter further crisis. That is, if we fail to acknowledge it.

We could also look at putting the brakes on Automation. Machines are much less energy efficient than humans. People don't burn fossil fuels either.

Thank you for realizing the true treat to American workers and society in this era. I'm thrilled that you are not afraid to tell the truth about what policy you think makes sense or not. #HumanityFirst #YangGang

No question about that. AI is unstoppable. If we are expected to have jobs to earn a living, we will most certainly starve.

I look forward to hearing about this on your Citizen's Campaign Call later today!

While the rest of the World uses A.I. and algorithims well be employeeing humans and running a franchise model. Because we believe no computer understands human emotion, like humans.
