I'm asking this sincerely, not oppositionally: If you had the power to declare a national emergency for reparations tomorrow, what would you do? What would it look like?

Until we can answer it, calls for reparations remain performative & not much help to folks who are legitimately suffering.
Not saying that's what Clint is doing. I suspect he has something in mind. But I'm curious how different it looks than lefty polices already on the table.

There is already a bill in congress that would be a good first step. #Reparations2020 #ADOS

There are a now few democratic presidential candidates who say they support reparations in a vague philosophical sense (Kamala, Castro). Pushing them to support H.R.40 would lock them into a tangible policy as a first step.

Actually there are no details. Williamson is silent on how the beneficiaries are identified. Williamson is clearly pandering since she knows the German reparations were largely paid to the state of Israel.

.@tonetalks & @BreakingBrown did an interview with @marwilliamson where the question of who would be the beneficiaries was discussed. #ADOS
