Once the @GOP and @TheDemocrats stop playing hide the money from the @NRA then maybe a real discussion can be had but until both parties stop taking money from them this is just going to be a constant loop.

Well said! I own a gun cause someone broke into my home and I’ve never felt safe since. They broke down my door. But we need change with all laws ect!

Please explain exactly what you mean by "gun safety." The best way to have gun safety is proper training and education of gun owners or anyone who may have access to them, especially children.

What would be considered "mentally ill" in preventing gun ownership, like which disorders should be flagged? Will there be a nationally accessed registry like with controlled meds?

Gun safety should be the first priority! Anyone, with a mental condition, or a criminal record should not have a gun. Ppl should be licensed to have guns, which should have to be renewed every year. Why is it that we have more shooting than anywhere else in the word?
