Capitalism shouldn’t be driven only by fiduciary responsibility to stockholders; it should serve a larger array of stakeholders including workers, community and environment. Institutions as well as individuals should have ethics. Corporations as well as people should have a heart

Agree, but the missing piece is that we cannot legislate people to have a heart. Only personal transformation can do that. Also, Large government programs cannot act as God either, they are not angels.

Companies related to healthcare should have a responsibility to the patients they serve. Having a responsibility to shareholders creates a perverse incentive to refrain from delivering or approving care. Or to maximize profits on medication sales. Obscenely high prices 4 insulin.

Responsibility priorities should be based on proximity. “Distance” tempts dishonesty.

This is where we disagree, conscious capitalism, or capitalism w conscience isn't the best option. It's possible but a collectivistic approach is better for the Earth & her children. At the moment, the closest is socialism. 1/2

Agreed! @NamasteSolar is forging a new business model based in equity and employee ownership...all employees can become co-owners after 12 months; they maintain a 6:1 ratio of highest to lowest paid team member; all co-owners get one vote on board. bit.ly/2GnDyPa

Why isn’t Harvard holding your rally in a bigger venue? The tickets have been sold out since this morning or last night.

As a culture, we need to change the way we measure success. That change starts at the top, in our government. Right now we measure based on economics, what would happen if we chose something different?
