Racism should not go unchallenged and neither should anti-Semitism go unchallenged. There is a line past which otherwise legitimate criticism of Israeli policies becomes anti-Semitic bile, and the Congresswoman crossed it. I hope she will retract and restate.

What incident you are referring to? I am Jewish, daughter of Holocaust survivors and I saw @IlhanMN interviewed on @DemocracyNow and no antisemitic line was crossed. #EndTheOccupation, it is good for coexistence, Justice and Peace not an ongoing game of Top Dog/ Underdog

How did she cross it? I mean that sincerely.

having lived in israel...i am witness to the abhor ant practice of paying israeli citizens of arab decent less than an israeli of jewish decent for the same job...ie arab israeli doctors are paid less than their jewish counterparts...as a jew i am ashamed that this is reality.

I'm a Jew and I totally agree with what she said. Although it had some unfortunate similarities to some tropes, the truth is that aipac does have lots of money and influence over Congress. And that's not anti-Semitic to say

You lost me already. I was looking for a true alternative. You gave me the same old same old. Mixing criticism of Israel as anti Semitism is so mainstream Jewish supremacy that you have joined the hackery.

Oh my goodness! Someone reasonable and measured in politics? Thank you, Marianne!

Folks, it’s perfectly fine to talk about paid trips, influence peddling and money in DC - when it comes to Saudi, or the UAE, or Turkey - but Israel, arguably the most prolific funder of these activities on a local, state, college and federal level is off limits?

So we’re just gonna pretend Sheldon Adelson doesn’t exist, and that Kevin McCarthy is trying to punish ⁦@IlhanMN⁩ out of sincere commitment to the wellbeing of us Jews? Cool, cool. axios.com/2018-midterm-elect…

Marianne, I really like you, but you are wrong. Progressives should not be shamed into canobolozing our own at the potential hint of criticism. You of all people know the assault People of Color have been going through directly is not in the UNIVERSE of this supposed trope means.
