Since we won't be able to overturn Citizens United with the current Supreme Court, & it will take a while before we can have a Constitutional Amendment to provide public funding for federal campaigns, these kinds of state efforts are everything. Look for happenings in your state.

What does overturn Citizens United mean, Captain Rhetoric? You and your ilk need to sell your fellow Americans on a concept that clearly defines what & who is & isn't subject to regulation, and what authority Congress has/doesn't have. It's not the Court's fault you can't do it.

We have passed law in St Petersburg banning super pacs and foreign corporate monies in local elections . Effort non underway to pass same country wide . we are receiving tremendous support in this silo busting effort.

All it takes is Democrats taking all branches of government & increasing supreme courts seats (its been done) . Also, the Dems have to want to overturn Citizens United & if we are going, to be honest corruption isn't only in Republican party there are many corrupt Democrats too.
