I've become a bit disenfranchised by the local Dem Party. I'm fully aligned with the ideals, the spirit, the morals... But I'm bored by the same old topics, the conspiracy theorists, the uninformed & easily confused. And Lord, do some love to hear the sound of their own voices!

No thanks. I hope you enjoy her & her message, but I'm not interested in a self-help guru as Prez.
Is it a put-down or an accurate description? Seriously, what's the difference between her & Tony Robbins in relation to running for the top political office in the land?
Ronald Regan was governor of one of the largest states of the country prior to running for President.

"Hostile tone" because I don't think your favorite candidate is qualified? Maybe political discourse isn't for you. Regan wasn't "just an actor". He was a proven Governor of a State. I may not have agreed with his policies but he at least demonstrated competence in politics.

Bush was Governor of Texas; was the Iraq war competent policy? You mentioned Reagan being governor of California; was trickle down economics competent policy?

Bush, Regan, Clinton, Obama, and others before them had built up experience in the legislative process and the art of negotiation among a body of widely disparate and passionate views. They got shit done. We may not have liked what they did but they built the network to do it.

Contrast that to the current President who can't locate the White House with a map. No experience in political negotiation & a belief that personality alone made him qualified. The result: The longest shutdown in US history. Repubs bought into this amateur hour. We should not.
