Why wouldn't you run for local/state government first? Why is everyone jumping straight to president these days?

Yes, I ran for Congress and lost. As did Barack Obama and several others. Running and losing isn't something to be ashamed of, as long as you showed up, tried, and lost with dignity. I feel I did.

What? Obama also won three times for state Senate, and once for US Senate before running for president. So, yes, he lost once...but he didn't turn around from one loss and run for president without serving at the state or local levels.

So I guess I won't put your down for a house party.

Fly my family out, and we'll happily go. Haha. I've got no beef against you. I just don't understand the logic of not working up through the lower levels of government. I told Schultz the same thing (and do have a beef with him).... /1

I want to elect someone for president that I can look at their voting history and the legislation they've proposed to get a real idea of who they are and what they'll do in office. /End

With all respect, I think we should elect someone president who has a long history of addressing patterns of human dysfunction and how those patterns express themselves in ways that wreak havoc on human existence. That's what is truly going on in our country, writ large.

Good luck. Seriously. But I think that most of the voters agree with me that they want someone with experience for president. Things like Congress or state legislature are different because there are larger numbers with built in mentorship of those with less experience.
