It takes a complete lack of conscience for the administration to allow the human hardship produced by this shutdown to continue, a "Let them eat cake" attitude endemic not only to them but to our entire economic system. This is a pathology for us to see, to resist and to change.

I’ve been waiting for someone to say “the administration” and not trump. We should also question the intentions of Democrats: just because you’re right, it doesn’t mean you’ll get what you want or need; it’s very complacent of them. They’re all pathetic. 😒

Could you explain why the Democrats voted against paying the furloughed employees during the shutdown? The Republicans and Administration were in favor of not holding the employees hostage - the Dems were willing to do so. Explain?
