“I have reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro’s greatest stumbling block in his stride towards freedom is the white moderate, who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the absence of justice.” MLK

Just a reminder that Dr. King was against capitalism and wanted a guaranteed income, which today we call a Universal Basic Income. I love it when our political system will expound the virtues of MLK today, but do not really embrace his ideas. It makes me feel all wormy inside.

Oh my. Monday night, Marianne! You were “In this world, but not of this world”. You honored Dr. King and us all.

The basic truth should be recognized on this part of our history. It doesn’t mean we have to follow all of MLk’s ideas. Ideas of Malcolm X should also be honored in coming up with how we can address/repair this issue/injustice. Marianne, I hope this is your train 😊
