Millions of American children go to school every day in schools that don’t have working toilets, meet safety standards or have enough school supplies to teach a child to read. We have simply normalized their despair. These children have no economic leverage; they should have us!

Yes, Marianne, they should. Somehow, they don't. And as long as we're building a wall to keep out the people who are NOT there, we will never have it. We also have a multi-millionnaire in charge of ed dept who knows nothing about public education. She needs to go.
