The US should pay reparations for slavery in the form of $100B given to educational and economic renewal in the black community, just as Germany paid $89B in reparations to Jews after WW2 & the US paid $20,000 in reparations to each surviving victim of Japanese internment camps.

Let’s be mindful of the terms that are used here. “Black Community” has been metastasized to include various ethnicities of people. “Descendants of American Chattel Slavery” is the precise terminology that we identify with.

$100 B covers the first 100 years slavery. There is still the rest of Chattel slavery , Reconstruction and Jim Crow that need to be discussed and repaired.

Education and economic renewal? Nah, I want mine in cash if anything. It's not really reparations if we can only have it as a education coupon. But reparations is literally too much to ask, because simply being treated as human is too much to ask.
