That is where the mistake lays ... in the perception that ego will prevail..and it’s not true and the only thing about power is "it’s fleeting ", it’s an illusion, so leadership by fear doesn’t last and ultimately is defeated.

It appears our technology is advancing way faster than our accompanying evolution. As a species, we are poor at risk assessment, and fear unlikely things, yet do not fear very risky things if they offer us something in the short term. We are toast unless this changes.
