Americans are living in a state of collective trauma, but our political situation didn't cause it; it's an expression of it. Trying to fix that trauma on the level of traditional politics is like watering the leaves of a plant. We're going to have to digger deeper into our souls.

I fully agree! There is a deep mess that has been piling up. It’s about digging in and cleaning it up first on an individual level. It just seems as though there is a big part of the country who is refusing to do so. I pray there’s enough of us who are willing

What each of us can do is to care for our own souls by being kind wherever we are and with whomever.

What is this collective trauma that you speak of? I’m pretty happy and enjoying my life.Don’t allow your personal hatred to affect your life, you might be in a better place. Remember all real politics are local... how is your community doing. Throw yourself into that!
