What a scam has been perpetrated over last 40 years, training the American people to expect so little from their govt. Health care? Nah. Protection from gun violence? Nah. Economic justice? Nah. Good schools for all our kids? Nah. The scam will continue until the scammed wake up

40? From the days of JFK, Nixon, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, all politicians have promised better education for our kids and there are some excellent schools/teachers but for the most part public education is I trouble with no end in sight.

It's a perpetual cycle where people who want limited government due to a lack of faith in the effectiveness in government elect individuals who are there to do very little and then point to the worthlessness of government after doing nothing of worth in their time in government.
