Any conservative who thinks liberals are the problem, and any liberal who thinks conservatives are the problem, is being had. The real problem is a force that has created that illusion, to keep all of us distracted while they take all the goods.

It’s true that the Republican Party is now dominated by corporatists who themselves are not true conservatives. But that doesn’t help any of us, even progressives. Seeing the situation for what it is is ultimately helpful to both sides.

I don't see how you can disambiguate "corporatists" from conservatives and/or Republicans at this point; the relative few corporatists masquerading as liberals aren't hard to smoke out. So what principle unifies/galvanizes "anti-corporatists?"

Those on both the Left and Right who are dedicated to democracy - to the will of the people as opposed to corporate profits being our governing principle.
