If we have no democratic or moral core - if the murder of journalists doesn’t matter, lies don’t matter, & needless suffering for the sake of corporate profits doesn’t matter - then no amount of money or brute force will be able to protect us from the consequences of our actions.

We each have a voice. We should listen to everyone's opinions. Even those we don't agree with. We should act on those that are based on fact, gain consensus, are not based on fear and allow the light in each of us to shine. Is that asking for too much? I think not.
