A society in which CEOs of companies that actively harm health & well-being of people & planet earn hundreds of millions of $ a year while there are elementary school teachers who need to take second jobs in order to survive, is one beset by an extraordinary perversion of values

As a politician, how will you make this change? Passing laws to outlaw making money? Teachers and school employees are state employees already. Parents blame teachers for their children’s failures. What is your plan for this change in respect?

Making money is a good thing. The problem is that too many people have a hard time being able to. And yes, that disparity is a direct result of economic policies such as stock options and buybacks, lack of health insurance, college loan debt etc

Doesn’t this cycle start from what is taught in school as the path? Success is measured by financial wealth than self satisfaction? College is taught as the way out of poverty. The let down is devastating to those who fail. Especially to those who are accustomed everything free

No. Simple economic justice should not be too much for citizens to ask for. In a “Government of the people, by the people, and for the people” the powers of government do not get specifically applied to helping the extremely rich get richer at the expense of everyone else.

Economic justice to me is being a contributing member of society and receiving equal to what I contribute. Here is the disparity, there will always be a person who perceives themselves as the victim, not realizing that they have far more already. How will you deliver this message

If what you’re saying is that both the individual and the government have equal responsibility, then I agree. But right now our government is not living up to its responsibility, making it difficult for many individuals to live up to theirs.

At what point would you agree is half? My husband and I pay over $10,000. A year in taxes. Only to have co workers laugh at us, they get over $5,000. Back, they take the highest allowed also. Now, who is getting the fair deal here?
