The relevant question isn’t an insane person’s “motive” for killing. The question is why unstable people have such easy access to guns & so little access to mental healthcare. May the victims in California Rest In Peace & their loved one’s hearts be comforted. May we learn. Amen.

It is still possible that mis-use of psych meds may be a key factor in many of these incidents. While I also support common-sense gun restrictions, I do support more study and transparency about if and how psych meds might have contributed.
