You said it, Jennifer...
The caravan is 1,000 miles from our border. Even if this group including old folks and young kids could walk 25 miles per day without a single break, they wouldn鈥檛 arrive until early December. What will 5000 troops be doing on the border in the meantime?

Many are hitchhiking, or taking trains/buses.

Perfect action in good time for them to change their minds and turn back. It will be late to turn back if actions are not taken NOW.

Using troops for political games has to be unconstitutional.

The troops are already on duty. They just got reassigned to this. It is not costing the taxpayers any additional money for troop salary. This will show the caravans that we mean business about them not being allowed in illegally.

They will probably be enjoying the weather, because it might very well be warmer at the border than back where they were before going down there. Or maybe getting to do some sightseeing on their off days, in a part of the country they (some of them) have not been to before.

Assign them split up families. While they wait, track down and match up separated kids. Manpower doing going.
