We still haven’t banned bump stocks or made background checks universal before buying firearms. “All countries have extremists, but there’s no reason we should give them access to assault weapons and large-capacity magazines!” - Nicholas Kristof #onemorepainfulreasontovote

In retrospect Sandy Hook marked the end of the US gun control debate. Once America decided killing children was bearable, it was over.

Yeah. I am waiting for the US pro civilian assault ballistics ownership faction to defend their “right” to build bombs.

You spoke at Wanderlust today in brave eulogy and promise to the hearts lost in Pittsburgh. They heard you. We hear you.

??? Background checks r universal in America, cant buy a gun w/o one Do u know wat a bump stock is/how it is used? Do u know the difference between semi auto nd full auto? Full auto weapons are heavy regulated and not easy for the public to access. #checkURfacts#dontstomprights

Background checks are useless though in regards to first time offenses or people who just “snap” like young males who have no prior history (ex: all the school shootings). Background checks would be helpful in cases with priors but sadly the majority are young men w/no record.

There's also no reason to give extremists and those who deliberately activate sleeper cells by their rhetoric - others by their silent complicity with the incitement to violence access to the reins of government.
