Praying for a miracle isn’t unsophisticated; it’s more sophisticated. It means opening the mind to a realm of consciousness beyond the mere mortal. Anyone who thinks it’s naïve to pray for miracle, is naive: naïve to think humanity will make it for another 100 years if we don’t.

Unless you have a telescope inside the hearts and minds of everyone in the world, can you actually say that? Some no longer pray, but many do.

Let me rephrase that. I wasn't being critical of your statement, just pointing out that the religious culture is changing. And not for the better. I equate, perhaps incorrectly, a persistent drop in church attendance is connected to a drop in prayer, and belief.
