So this is how it works. You steal from the public purse to give money to the wealthiest corporations, leaving everyone else in such a state of survival that they will then do anything to get jobs working for the wealthiest corporations, who then steal more from the public purse.

That about sums it up. Which begs the question: What do we as citizens do about it? Vote? I don't think it'll be that easy. History shows no precedent for a more egalitarian society organically evolving from a deeply corrupted system of governance.

Women’s suffrage movement , Indian independence movement, the civil rights movement…There are many examples! It’s been done before & can be done again. We’re not the first generation to face anti-democratic forces; let’s just not be the first one to wimp out on doing the job.

Yet here we are... BTW, the change those movements effected did not come simply by incremental, organic shifts in social consciousness. Unless by organic you mean sweat, blood, tears, humiliation, agony, death...
